86. Let's have another go
The sakura leaf rested between two pages containing two poems. Part of our game was to guess which one Rumi wanted us to read.
I needed another go of sake for this.
A go is a dangerous serving. It’s 1/10 of a sho, a 1.8 litre bottle, those magnum-sized bottles you see in izakayas. A go is served in a small flask called a tokkuri and drunk from a small cup called an ochoko. Just like a journey of a 1000 kilometers begins with the first step, a fine drunk begins with an ochoko filled from a tokkuri.
