87. Pop up Patio

By the time they arrived at this tachinomi (a standing-only bar) near Gakugei-daigaku train station people were already spilling out the door.
(The food must be good.)
But it looks like the owner found a way to accommodate them and they didn’t seem to mind sitting outside on the pavement on some overturned beer crates on a chilly night.
(Sitting in a tachinomi never happens.)
I’m sure they didn’t plan a street dinner but that was at least half the fun they’re having.
(Mostly, that’s what I wanted. Spontaneity is as good as salt.)
Gakugei-daigaku is now one of my favourite neighbourhoods
