88. Breakfast For Dinner
This is like having a bowl of Cheerios for dinner, the sort of thing you get to do when you are big and grown up but don’t want to be all mature and sensible at the moment.
A traditional Japanese breakfast is often miso soup, rice, natto, pickled vegetables and grilled fish. We were pretty knackered so instead of running out for some fresh fish we took a tin of sardines that had been sitting on the shelf since they came in the mail along with some sake, opened it and stuck it under the grill.
And called it dinner.
